Terms of service
How quotes, pricing, scheduling, dumpster rentals and text messages work when you book with us. Plain language, no surprises.
Last updated October 23, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply when you use this website, request a quote, book a job or rent a dumpster from K. Ferreira's Junk Removal & Property Services (“K. Ferreira’s,” “we,” “us”), based in Westport, MA. By doing any of those things, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or book with us.
2. Our services
We offer dumpster rentals, junk removal, clean outs, demolition, construction debris pickup, shed and pool removals, landscaping, mulching, paver patios, fire pit installs, property maintenance, excavation, leveling and grading, and snow plowing. We serve Westport and towns within about 35 miles, including parts of Rhode Island. We can decline any job, for example one that’s outside our service area, unsafe, or beyond our equipment.
3. Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are free. Most are based on the photos and description you send us, and some jobs need a site visit first.
- We have a $85 minimum. Past that, junk removal is priced by the weight of the items and how much space they take up in our trailer.
- You get the price before we start. If the job turns out different from what was described, for example more items, heavier material or harder access, we’ll tell you the updated price before going further, and you can decline it.
- Larger projects like demolition, excavation, patios and landscaping are priced per project. Anything specific we agree to in writing, such as scope, timing or materials, is part of your agreement with us.
4. Scheduling, weather and access
- Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, earlier jobs and weather can move them, and we’ll keep you posted by your preferred contact method.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can.
- Please make sure we can safely reach the work area: a clear path, pets secured, and someone available to point out what goes. If we can’t get to the work safely when we arrive, we may need to reschedule.
- Outdoor work, digging and plowing depend on weather and ground conditions. We may delay a job when conditions aren’t safe or would hurt the result.
5. Your responsibilities
- You must own the items and the property we’re working on, or have the owner’s permission.
- Point out anything you want to keep, and move it out of the work area if you can. Once items are loaded, they’re ours to recycle, donate or dispose of, and we can’t promise to get them back.
- Tell us about anything hidden or hazardous we should know before we start, like buried lines, septic systems, irrigation, invisible dog fences, weak floors or mold.
- For digging work, Massachusetts and Rhode Island require a Dig Safe notice before excavation. Dig Safe marks public utility lines only. Private lines, such as sprinklers, lighting, propane lines, septic systems and lines to sheds or pools, are yours to tell us about.
6. Items we can’t take
Hazardous materials can’t go in our dumpsters or be mixed into a regular load. That includes paint, chemicals, fuel, propane tanks, batteries, tires, medical waste and biohazards. Tell us about them before we quote, since some can be handled separately for an extra charge and some we can’t take at all. We don’t handle material that may contain asbestos. In Massachusetts it has to be removed by a licensed abatement contractor. K. Ferreira's follows local and state disposal rules, and we sort loads to recycle and donate what we can.
7. Dumpster rentals
- We offer 15 and 20 yard roll-off dumpsters. The rental period, price and any weight allowance are confirmed in your quote.
- We place the dumpster where you direct us on your property. We use care, but a loaded dumpster is heavy, and we aren’t responsible for marks or damage to driveways, lawns or other surfaces at the spot you choose.
- If the dumpster needs to sit on a public street or sidewalk, your town may require a permit. Tell us before delivery.
- Don’t load above the top edge or put in the prohibited items listed above. Overloaded dumpsters can’t be hauled safely, and we may need to remove material or charge for extra weight or prohibited items before pickup.
- Keep the area around the dumpster clear on pickup day so our truck can reach it.
8. Payment
Payment is due when the job is done unless we agree to something else in writing, for example a deposit or progress payments on larger projects. We’ll confirm the payment methods we accept when you book. If you pay by card, the payment is handled by our payment processor.
9. Damage and concerns
We take care around your home and property. If you think our crew damaged something, tell us as soon as you can, ideally the same day, with photos, and we’ll work with you to make it right. We aren’t responsible for problems that already existed, for hidden conditions you didn’t tell us about, or for normal effects of the work you asked for, like tire marks on a lawn or soil settling after grading.
10. Photos of our work
We may photograph jobs before and after and use those photos on our website and social media. We blur house numbers, license plates and names, and we don’t publish your address. If you’d rather we not use photos of your property, just tell us.
11. Text messages
When you request a quote, you can choose to receive text messages from K. Ferreira's Junk Removal & Property Services at the number you provide. There are two separate, optional choices:
- Service messages about your quote request, scheduling and job updates.
- Marketing messages, including special offers, discounts and seasonal service reminders.
Consent isn’t a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, and you’ll get one message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or call or text (508) 961-7017. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information, and we don’t share your phone number or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
12. Using this website
This website is for general information. Prices, services and availability can change, and the photos show past jobs, so your project may look different. Don’t misuse the site, for example by submitting false requests or trying to disrupt it. Links to other sites, like Google and Facebook, are run by those companies and follow their own terms.
13. Limits of our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost income or lost use of property, and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If a problem comes up, please contact us first, since most things can be sorted out with a phone call.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The version in effect when you book applies to that job.
